In days of old, when knights were bold, they jousted with a passion.Cheered on by their maiden fairs, showing off their latest fashion. Then one day a knight arrived in armour sparkling new.He proudly anounced to everyone a joust i want to do.
The jousting day it did arrive and our knight was there and deft.Sat proudly on his trusty steed and lance held in his left. His blood pumped all through his veins threatening to burst his heart. But outwardly he was a rock just waiting for the start.
The starter man he gave the sign and he burst into a run.He remembered thinking to himself "the things I do for fun."He was halfway down the muddy track when he hoped his eyes has lied.Because looking up he saw at once his horse was on the wrong side.
As his opponent beaded down on him there was little he could do.He just shut his eyes and waited for the lance to go straight through.Luck was with our knight that day the riders aim was out.He rode down to the turning gate and readied for the bout.
As he sat there on his horse the problem was quite clear. When it comes to jousting "some things they just ain't fair."Then he saw a solution, it was the only one.I'll charge on down this causeway and take the man HEAD ON.
His foe that day was a knight old and grey and certainly not naive. In all his years of jousting , this he couldn't believe. But before he had time to react to his plight and try to make a pass.A lance of wood found him good and put him in the grass.
As he layed there in the clover , winded and confused. Our victorious knight stood over, and these few words he mused.
I am a true lefthander, a stalwart to the cause.I challenge, then adapt to win
And finally ... I take the applause.
