Left Handed Information

We have included lots of information about being left-handed and how to overcome some of the challenges we face in a right-handed world, and we are always adding new material as we come across it.  The whole site is very interactive so you can always add your own comments on anything you see, post to our discussion forums about it or add your own pictures, audio or video that may help or entertain others.

We also upload all our Ebooks, worksheets and guides that are normally paid items so that members can access, download and print them free of charge.

We have also included in our World all of the surveys we have done (and are ongoing) so you can see the results and complete them yourself, as well as commenting on our analysis and conclusions and what other members have had to say. 

Discussion Boards And Private Messaging

The member site includes a powerful discussion board where you can air your views or ask questions and get them answered either by the administrators or by other members. You can monitor discussion threads and be advised by email if anyone replies or comments.

The state-of-the-art private messaging system allows you to contact any other member and to include audio and video in you message, right from your computer and in real time (see below)

Audio And Video Recording

The latest Flash, Java and streaming technology is built in so you can record and upload video in real time direct from your web cam.  You can also easily upload any audio or video files you have created yourself and have them available to use on your web page, blog, documents or messages.  No need to worry about storage, bandwidth or extra charges - everything is hosted and streamed from our servers and all costs are included within your membership.

Create your own web page

Using a simple, word-processor-like editor you can create your own web page within the Left Hand World site to tell others about yourself and your interests, link to resources and information you have uploaded, promote your own business or services or find fellow left-handers to work with.  Of course, you can easily include audio and video within your page.

If you have always wanted your own web page but never got round to sorting out all the technology, this is the easy way to do it!

Create your own Blog

This is really powerful and will give you a quick and easy start into the technology that is taking over the Web.  A blog (short for Web Log) is a series of "posts" in your own personal space that can be used as a personal diary, a broadcast platform for your views and information and almost anything else you want to do with it.  In your Left Hand World blog, you can easily add text and images to your posts or make it a "vlog" (video web log) by recording audio or video direct into your posts from you webcam.

Other members who have chosen to "watch" your blog will be automatically be informed by email that you have made a new entry.  As you get more advanced, the system will automatically create RSS feeds for you to syndicate your blog posting to other web sites (don't worry, everything will be explained in simple language with demonstration videos on how to do it!)

Communicate With Other Members

This is the heart of the site - allowing easy communication between members so we can share information, ideas, interests and challenges. Using the cutting-edge technology on the site you can create direct communication links with other members anywhere in the world using text, audio or video chat.

What that means in practice is that you can very easily have international video phone calls whenever you like, for as long as you like, at zero cost! (and you can even include as many people as you like - set up a video conference call between family members and friends all over the world).

Share Your Files, Pictures, MP3s and Videos

Create your own galleries and share with other members or anyone else you like.  Simple upload and management of everything you want to share, with no additional charges for space or downloads.

Of course, we have got access to a huge amount of images and videos about anything to do with left-handedness (and a lot of other stuff) and we will be uploading them for members to access free of charge.
